Wounded Soul

Support for PTSD

Offered for: Men & Women

PTSD often feels like the past refuses to stay in the past. Many who live with it describe sleep stolen by nightmares, memories that play uninvited, and a body that stays on guard long after the danger has passed. Ordinary sounds, smells, places, or dates on a calendar can pull the mind back to a moment it has tried to leave behind. Some feel numbness where they once felt joy, while others feel anger or fear with an intensity that startles them.
Relationships can grow strained. Spouses and children may feel shut out. Work can suffer. Faith itself can become complicated, and many quietly wonder whether God still hears them, or whether prayer still works when peace feels so far away. These struggles are real, and they are not evidence of weak faith or a lack of character. They are wounds, and wounds deserve tender care. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Jesus himself wept, suffered, and bore the deep wounds of this world so that no one would walk through suffering alone. At Wounded Soul, we believe spiritual care and clinical care belong side by side. We do not replace counseling, medication, or the work of trained professionals, we come alongside them, offering what only a faith community can: prayer, scripture, shared silence, and the steady presence of people who believe you belong here.

Group Focus

As followers of Christ, we recognize the deep impact trauma can have on the human spirit. In the life and teachings of Jesus, we find both compassion and hope for those carrying pain from the past. This group exists to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals can be understood, find community, and begin the journey toward healing through shared experience and faith.

Wounded Soul is open to any man or woman living with the weight of post-traumatic stress, no matter the source. We welcome veterans from all branches of the military who carry the lasting impact of service. We stand with first responders, firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and 911 dispatchers, who have faced intense and often traumatic situations. We also welcome those affected by serious accidents, natural disasters, medical trauma, or any life experience that has left deep and lasting wounds.

If life has left you carrying more than you should have to carry alone, this is a place where you will be met with understanding, support, and care.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
-Matthew 11:28
